the GHOST GUYS
Plumbers by day. Paranormal Investigators by their days off.

The BATTERY
Two young men walk across the northeast months after a zombie epidemic has forever altered the landscape and their lives.
It is apparent where DAN KIBBLE's passions truly lie when he peels the KIBBLE FAMILY PLUMBING magnet off the side of the company van after business hours, to reveal THE GHOST GUYS logo and phone number, permanently stenciled on.
His dream is to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt, the existence of life after death. He spends nearly all of his off time in cemeteries and theaters, creaky old houses, hosting a late night public access show that documents the supernatural exploits of his crack investigative team:
PETE the cameraman, GARY the sound guy, and CHUCK, who holds the EMF Detector and believes that RANDI his St. Bernard, is a conduit to the spirit world.
When a plumbing job on a crumbling estate takes a turn toward the paranormal, the team holes up in the mansion and refuses to leave until they get their ghost.
. . .
In the above sample scene, Dan has convinced his dying father to attempt and make his presence known moments after he passes away. The team has gathered in the hospital room, to document his death.

Mark Roberts My concern here is that anyone who watches Ghost Hunters is going to immediately think Ripoff.
March 5, 2010Jeremy Gardner Wow, I just looked up Ghost Hunters. I've never seen it. Just ads for it, I had NO idea they were plumbers. That's a big bad strike, you're right. However the day job is irrelevant. It is intended to be a broad comedy slant on all of the ghost hunting TV shows, but the plumbing can be replaced with anything really.
March 5, 2010Mark Roberts No worries - definitely something to tweak so you don't turn off any potential readers. I love those shows so would not mind seeing a spoof/comedy of the genre.
