What makes a man a Rebel Journalist? Is it a man who says no and speaks the truth? Or is it a man that believes in going his own way? Well if you asked Walter Cosworth that question he’ll probably tell you “Rebel you say, isn’t that like some creamy malt liquor African American’s drink to celebrate Friday’s, I don’t know, I don’t speaka no jive. The real question here though is actually what strikingly handsome and famous actor looks like me the most? So lay it on me and don’t be shy okay, and if you say Brad Pitt I promise I won’t be all the way insulated, I’ll just be like half way insulated. And I think insulated may not be the correct word here, but look tamato, tomato, Bush or Obama, and they both mean the same thing right, El Presidente.”
Walter Cosworth, the egotistical, sarcastic, and unbelievably vain character that he is is a wannabe international journalist with his newly found goal in life and that is to be a white haired, to the rescue international journalist, with his own show. He and his best friend Duncan along with Billy, Anna, and The Jew operate the only news website in the world solely dedicated to reporting international rebel activity, ‘Rebeljournalism.com’. Walter is the lead journalist and he covers all of the big stories and conducts all the big interviews that premier on the site, but Walter has a slight problem and that is reporting the truth. Oblivious of his lack of integrity, experience and journalism skills Walter unknowingly lands himself in hot water with his latest interviewee, Moroccan rebel leader, Suzzaki Azu.
One evening while at his jack of all trades, hustle and bustle grannies house Walter is presented with the opportunity he’s been searching for, to see his dream of becoming the real deal journalist extraordinaire come true. His favorite journalist announces that he is hosting “The Investigative Journalist of the Year Contest” and the grand prize winner will be given their own news show. This is Walter’s big chance, and his only shot to reach journalism stardom. However, in order to participate in the contest Walter has to conduct an interview with an individual that is engaged in an issue that is impacting the world. Based on some really bad information from his loud mouth and Archie Bunkerish step father Walter and his crew take a trip to Mexico to interview one of the most controversial rebel figures waging war against the Mexican drug Cartels. Che Che, leader of the Cartel Liberation Freedom Force of Mexico.
Unfortunately all doesn’t go well in Mexico and Walter and his team is forced to come home empty handed, but with the exception of the illegal immigrant child Walter decided to smuggle back into the U.S. Walter’s big time dreams of becoming a journalist are now running on fumes as he is faced with many dilemmas. He has no interview for the contest; he’s looking for a really hot woman to assume the role of hot Bahama baby mama for his illegal son, his team is frustrated and he is also being sought after by the Moroccan rebel leader who wants nothing more but to see Walter choke on his own words.
These dilemmas can potentially mean curtains for the great Walter Cosworth who has graciously proclaimed himself as “The Journalist Extraordinaire”. Although like all other egotistical, unpredictable, self proclaimed wannabe greats, is the Journalist Extraordinaire actually capable of living up to it his name and save the day?
