Taking place in 1969 a 13 year old boy and his mother move into an old farm house. Being new to the town and not having much to do hes offered a summer job , hes suppose to mark "the siders" aka road kill ,so when the weekly town cleaner comes in they will be able to quickly pick up the dead critters.
While working a hot and humid morning he smells something far worse,stronger than the usual dead raccoon. Following the smell off the road side and deep into the marshy wooded area with grass and weeds almost as tall as he is, he comes across a decomposing body partly submerged in a grotesque, muddy,cloudy pool of liquid. Right before hes able to flee the scene his eye catches something through the tall weeds quickly running past him .A pale white creature slides its body into the cloudy liquid with the rotting corpse and hastily snatches it underneath.....
Clearly this job is more than what he expected.
Will anyone believe him?
Worst of all, will it find him?
