Filmmaker Magazine cites an article in Salon that asks if the distracting nature of the internet is rewiring our brain. For those who are worried, a program called Freedom can force you off twitter and your email for a specified period of time.
And while having a robo-assistant sounds exciting, is anybody else underwhelmed by this small and awkward office robot? Is it so hard to fetch your pill bottle yourself?

"Feature film location shoots in Los Angeles fell to the lowest level since tracking began in 1993, dropping more than 56 percent, from 2,065 days of shooting in the first quarter of 2008 to just 903 days in the first quarter of ths year, according to FilmL.A., which monitors production statistics in and around the city.
The figures, disclosed on Monday, reflected continued competition from states and foreign countries that have lured filming from Los Angeles with generous production incentives..."
