MoMA celebrates German cinema - Entertainment News, Film News, Media - Variety.

Tickets went on sale today for the Tribeca Film Festival...if you have an American Express card. Everyone else can purchase their tickets April 20th, unless you live in downtown New York, in which case you can get them April 19th. For $25, you can see directors Spike Lee and Barry Levinson in the flesh, introducing their new films Passing Strange and Poliwood.

At the SVA theater, you can catch discussions following three documentaries, featuring the directors and other experts expounding on topics explored in the films, at the annual Behind the Screens event. The docs are Burning Season, Transcendent Man, and Burning Down the House: The Story of CBGB (where the above pic is from). And of course, plenty of after the film discussions.
