We all have hard times, and we all start thinking everything is just wrong. We may lose our self-esteem, and some people might keep thinking that way for a while. They get trapped with negative thoughts about themselves thinking they would never get out of what they are going through. However, these thoughts are just temporary. Having some problems should not make you depressed; you need to clear your mind to think wisely and not to exaggerate things.
1 The first thing to do is so simple. Just listen to music. Choose something that is related to a happy memory or a dear person. The rhythm should be cheerful and maybe dancing. Some like classic songs and some others may be attached to a certain singer’s voice. Listen to any music, as long as it fixes your spirit. Just stay away from any sad songs or melancholic music.
2 Another thing to do is to travel. Try to take a vacation for a couple of days away from stress. Choose someplace where you can be among the beauty of nature. It may be by the sea where the shining sun and the nice weather, maybe somewhere among beautiful trees in some wood by a quiet river; or anywhere else where you can feel peace. If it is not possible to travel, at least change the place where you used to be. If it is your house, go to a club, a garden, a café you visit for the first time; anywhere new.
3 Get down to an old hobby. Do something you used to like in the past, but you do not have time for it anymore. Draw, play music, write, practice sport or a game you liked when you were a kid. Do anything you used to be good at. This would help you to get your self-esteem back, and it may even help you to get new ideas for your life.
4 Something you need to be careful about is the people around you. When you feel down, never surround yourself with negative, frustrating people; actually, you should never surround yourself with this kind of people whatever your status is. Such people are capable of sucking every hope and destroying all your plans to improve things. You need to be around positive people who encourage you to be better. And one thing, do not listen to other people experiences when you’re down. Life is not all about downs and not every bad thing happened to someone and made their life worse would happen to you. Listen to other people life experiences only when you are ready to listen and feel like it, and listen to them only to take a good lesson to avoid some bad thing, not to let them affect your thoughts.
5 One more thing you can do to get positive energy. It might not cross so many peoples’ mind, but it may work. It is Babies. For many people, spending some time with babies sweeps away all negativity and bad mood. The purity and innocence you see in them would make you feel peace, and their little funny actions and moves would make you laugh from your heart whatever the rough time you are though. Babies have the most positive energy you need.
Those simple things are enough to clear your mind. You need that peace and clear mind to think about your problems on the right way. Negativity would make you see things wrong, so keep up your positive thought, and positive energy and you can solve any problem. And remember you do not have to take action right away when you are down. Give yourself the time you need to fix your mind and your mood.
